Q. Hi I just moved into a new home builg 1.5 yrs ago, With tumbled marble floor/shower tiles and I think limestone sink vanity top. The vanity top has black dirt on the left side from being propped up on it side. How do I clean it. Besides a lot of dried excess grout on the floor, I am seeing very,very, very small bugs. how to remove to old dried grout. Are the bugs coming from the tile? grout? have you seen this before? A.Hello Gina. What part of the country are you located? The bugs sound local but I wouldn't know for sure. I am sure they didn't come from the stone. Call a pest control company and they will terminate the bugs. As for the grout resudue, the builder did a sloppy job if they left grout residue on the surface. It can be difficult to remove so you would be making a wise decision to contact a bona fide stone refinisher / restoration contractor and let them see what is going on with the vanity and the residue issue.
