granite question

Q.We just had Juperano Delicatus installed in the kitchen. Our particular has lots of black, copper and beigh and a lot of sparly stuff inbetween. Question: When you look at it in certain light, it looks as though it has smudges or something sticky on it, as if it hasn't been cleaned. First is this common and second is there anything I can do to make it look better? Is this considered an exotic granite? Love your website. Thanks, Nina
A.Hello Nina- simply beautiful stone.
If the top looks smudgy or streaked it probably is!
This material may have been resined at the factory and then the installers tryed to seal an already non porous piece of stone. It may just be some waxy cleaner they used after installing.
Use a ph neutral cleaner like our mb-5 to clean off the residue.
Or you could try some acetone or denatured alcohol to possibly remove the excess sealer but test small area first use gloves and protect cabinets and anything that may come in contact with these solvents.
Why cant your installers fix this problem?
Call us if you need more assitance.
