Travertine tiles

Q.Hi Maurizio, I am wondering if Travertine is a good choice for a kitchen splashback, directly behind the cooker. If it needs to be sealed will this darken it? I used some travertine in the bathroom and the sealant has "muddied" it somewhat. Is one type of sealer better than another? Which one should I use? Thank you.
A. Hi Mary So sorry to inform you that Maurizio passed away last Aug 2008 the victim of a fatal auto accident.
Travertine is a good choice for a back splash as long as it is tumbled or honed.
The sealer on the travertine muddied?? Please explain on another post.
A good sealer for your travertine is MB STONES MB-4.
It is an excellent water based sealer. Go to mbstonecare.com
