Slate and Blue Stone

I have a blue stone hearth for my fireplace. Should I add any impregnator/sealer to it? I also will be putting down slate tiles. What product should I use to protect these? Do you have pictures of the color enhancer in action?

Dear Kush :

Should I add any impregnator/sealer to it?

Was it ever sealed before? And if so, is it sealed or does it need additional sealing?

Besides, are you considering the possibility that something like Cool-aid, ketchup, coffee or cooking oil will ever be spilled on it?

I also will be putting down slate tiles

Where, in a floor? And if so, in which room? I hope not in a kitchen if you heavily use it!... :-(

Do you have pictures of the color enhancer in action?

I do, but we still have to setup this question board with the capability to publish pictures. However, MB-6 will give you permanently the very look that you get when your stone is damp.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?   :-)

Ciao and good luck,
