Marble etching on new countertop

Installed Crema Marfil slab in bathroom, & accidentally dripped a cosmetic peel solution on counter. The result was a few rough etched spots. How can we repair? Is ther a rubbing compound to do this?

Dear Lorens:
If it were a light etching you could repair it yourself with a polishing compound like MB-11; but you don't have a light etching, alas.
Cosmetic peel solutions are highly acidic and do severe damage to calcite-based stones. Your precise indication that the etch marks are rough excludes the possibility of a DIYer repair attempt, unless you have someone really handy in your household.
If that's the case, let me know and I will try to direct that person through the necessary steps.
If not, you're going to have to hire a professional stone restoration contractor to do the repair for you.
