Marble floor help...please:)

I JUST DID A MARBLE FLOOR IN A 1/2 BATH..(no shower or tub) BUT DIDN'T LEAVE ANY SPACE BETWEEN THE 12/12'S. OOOOPS. It is a very solid floor beneath. I used 1/2 "cement backer board over 3/4 plywood. What are my options at this point? there seems to be a slight space of the thickness of a razor blade between them though! Do I grout anyway? If so then what type? Or can I pour a liquid sealer between the tiles? The 1/2 bath doesn't get used much. Its 5' by 7 1/2' An i screwed or in my situation, it's no big deal?? Thanks Steve

Dear Steve:

Most likely it's no biggie. It depends on the marble (how fractured it is in its structure), but considering the little use that that floor will have, I wouldn't worry about it. Just grout using unsanded grout and keep it on the “liquidy” side with the hope that it will find its way in that little gap you mentioned.

Liquid sealer??... What are you talking about?... There's no such an animal. J

Now remember, it's never too early to think about the proper maintenance of your stone. The issue of what you'll be doing day in and day out to your stone is far more important than the sealing and it's all too often neglected.
