marble floor

Hi there, I was wondering if you knew anything aboutremoving stains from marble floors. Someone mopped the entire foyer with a chemical used to clean toilets (acidic). This has left yellow stains all over the marble, especially in regions where there are cracks. Any suggestions would be helpful to me to get rid of these stains.

Dear Michael :

I have some good news and some bad news for you, mate…

The bad news is that your “stains” are not stains at all. The acid actually etched (corroded) the surface of your marble and now you need the services of a proficient stone restoration contractor that will have to slightly re-grind (hone) your floor and then re-polish it factory specs.

The good news is that's only money!! J

If you tell me where you live Down Under I may be able to locate a reputable contractor for you.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?   :-)

Ciao and good luck,
