granite kitchen sink

we have just recently installed a black granite sink in the kitchen,and did away with the old stainless steel sink...my question is...is it safe to still add a little bleach into the water in this new sink to disinfect my dish cloth like I am used to doing???

I actually lost the count of the black "granites" that there are out there. This mean that I have no dea which black "granite" your sink is made of and its mineralogy. Consequently, for lack of that information, I can't recommend that you do what you suggested. Even if apparently it doesn't do anything bad, you never know the long term effects.
