Hi Maurizio ~ I recently renevated my entire back yard. In it includes some stamped concrete and very expensive stone for a sitting area. I live in Las Vegas and have hard water. What is the safest and best way to remove the hard water stains. It has been professionally sealed if that makes a difference. I appreciate your help and look forward to hearing from you. Yes it does make a difference. First off you should not say “professionally sealed” because in my book no true professional worth his business card should ever seal stone outdoors. In fact, the “hard water” deposits that you're experiencing could indeed be just that (but I doubt), but they could also either be the fact that the stone is not a proper rock for outdoors installations (price matters nothing; only certain stone are appropriate for outdoors), or that the stupid impregnator that was “professionally” applied to it is slowing down the osmosis to the point of creating efflorescence.

Either way, and before I go any further in trying to assess the real situation (like I said, it could even remotely be what you perceive) I would like you to send me a couple of pictures of your “hard water stains” as you call them.

Let me take a look at them and then I'll let you know what I think.

(Or… I'll be in Vegas next month and, if you'd like me to, I'd be glad to pay you a visit for a cup of coffee and some homemade cookies!!... But let me see the pictures first.)
