Absolute Black Granite Floor Tiles

Hi there. I have bought 26 m2 of these floor tiles for my conservatory and kitchen. They are made in India and are a nice polished finish. After reading some of your comments I'm not sure what i should be doing about sealing them. I have taken advice from my local tile store and he has sold me some imprenator/sealer, which he says I should apply before I grout. After reading some of your posts I'm not sure if I have the right product. Should I have gone for the M6 colour enhancer? this is the product I have. http://www.toppstiles.co.uk/detail.php?pid=316&offset=0&Category=19&searchval=&actionsearch=go&action=&gid=. I really could do with some advice before I lay them this week. Any help you can give will be much appreciated. Cheers Fred

Fred:
I believe that I already said at least half million times that black "granite" can't be techincally sealed. That means that no impregnator will ever be able to be absorbed by the stone, for it is too darn dense. It does not absorb anything and it can't stain.
Using that product - or any other make of impregnator for that matter - as a grout release is the silliest thing that on could possibly do.
The removal of it will turn out as being a nightmare.
Get your money back.
Most imortantly, make sure that your Indian black "granite" hasn't been doctored with some fancy black "shoe-shine" or something.
Spill a few drop of lemon on it, let it dwell for 5 minutes or so, wipe it dry and see if where the lemon juice has been sitting is still nice, shiny and black. If so, you're fine. If you get a faint "ghost stain" instead, you know what to do!
