Help on Sealant

I just had some tumbled marbel installed. The sealant on it is very glossy and you can see the brush marks on it where the sealant was applied. First question, can a get a sealant that is not as shiny? Second, how do I resolve the brush mark issue? Thanks in advance for your help!

Dear Kristen:
Does anybody ever read the directions of a product printed on the bottle?...
It doesn't look so, I reckon.
In a nutshell, you messed up big time and now it's not going to be easy to fix it.
Impregnators (a.k.a. sealers for stone) are all - each and every one of them - below-the-surface of the stone products. If you'd read the directions, you'd have learned that you must remove every bit of the residue of the product from the surface of the stone before it has a chance to dry, so that, at the end of the sealing procedure, the surface of the stone is as bare as it were before you started the application.
Now you have a heavy residue that's dried-on and removing it won't be picknick, for it can't be stripped as if it were a sealer (wax or something). You can't leave it on, either, for it will create a maintenance nightmare.
You had better get hold of a bona fide stone restoration contractor and see what they can do in relation to the particular brand of impregnator you applied.
