travertine

I installed tumbled travertine in my shower and didn't do the best job of rinsing it a buch of times after grouting and after cleaning it very good today (24 hours later) there is still some residue left. Should I wait before sealing it to use some other cleaner, or am I just screwed?

Dear Jeff:
No, you're not screwed. :-)
Even if you used a grout film removal product for tile (which you shouldn't have), there's no real problem. You could use a specific product like MB-3 and then, instead of applying a regular impregnator, you will use a impregnator/color enhancer like MB-6, which will give your travertine a deeper color (like when it's wet, minus the sheen) permanently and uniformly, while effectively sealing it.

Ciao and good luck,
