Hello and thank you for the great site. A bath gel leaked onto my cream colored tumbled marble and I have learned from your site that they are etch marks. There are 3 long narrow streaks. Will MB-11 help that? What do you recommend? Many thanks. Karen

Etch marks?... Are you sure?... What do they look like? Are they darker or lighter than the stone?

The reason why I am so hesitant to accept your explanation is that etch marks don't show on tumble-finished stone.

Excluding MB-11 from the picture (it is only for polished stone surfaces), if the streaks are lighter they're probably etch mark on the color enhancer that may have been applied to the stone – typical and recommended application to tumbled marble. In such case, all you have to do is to slightly sand (yes, with good ol' sand paper!) the surface of the damaged tiles with 240 grit, and then apply a good-quality stone color enhancer like MB-6. Finished!

If instead the streaks are darker, than you're facing a stain. In this case, first you try with the sand paper starting at 60 grit and up to 240, followed by the color enhancer. If that's still not enough, you will have to poultice the stain out.
