Cracked marble tiles

Hi Maurizio, I am in the process (almost done) of installing marble tile flooring in my house. The tile is Cappuchino 18 x 18. I noticed 3-4 tiles have cracks running through them that werent there when the tiles were newly installed. Its been a couple of weeks and I live in Arizona, not sure if the heat has anything to do with it. What could be the reason for this? The contractor said he will rip them out and install new tile. But is there something I need to watch out for, so I dont see the same problem again? Thanks for your advice, Niral

Dear Niral:
Like the bumper-sticker says, "stuff happens!"
There's nothing in particular to watch for; a few tiles got cracked, the tile setter will replace them - end of story. :-)
