cleaning blue stone - Print View

I have a blue steps at the outside entrance of my house. It is approx. 2 years old & I have 2 issues. 1. My painter sprinkled paint all over the steps. The paint he used is a Benjamin Moore low lustre exterios paint 2. The blue stone looks very dull My question is, a. how do I remove the paint & b. How do I get that satiny look back to the blue stone?

I don't know much about paints, but I guess that any paint stripper should do. No stone is adversly affected by solvents. As for removing the "b.", I can't figure out what you mean with "b."...

Finally, about the original satin finish, my suggestion is that you learn how to live without it. Bluestone is a regional sandstone typically delivered in a natural cleft finish. Nobody produced that finish: it's Mother Nature's kitchen and can't be replicated by man.
