Quartz countertop looks dull and dirty

Hi, I have a black DuPont Zodiac countertop, maybe Black Galaxy, it is not solid black, it has speckles in it. I thought it would be shiny, but it is quite dull and always looks dirty and smeary and splotchy no matter what I've tried. I copied and pasted a question and answer about granite and I'm wondering if the same would apply to my problem. I am really unhappy with this countertop and not sure what to do. Thanks! Hello, I have UbaTuba granite countertops. For the life of me I cannot get them shiny like they were the day we moved in. They are dull with smudges all over them. Looking at your products, would MB-6 Stone Color Enhancer help? Thank you, Kristi Dear Kristi: While I beg you to realize that I do not intend insulting you, I must report that what you have is exclusively the consequence of poor housekeeping. You probably followed the "qualified" advice of your installer to seal that stone (which did not need to be sealed), and to clean it with dish soap or some other inappropriate means like that. And now you're not asking me what cleaner you should use to solve the problem; you're rather asking me if another sealer (MB-6) would do the trick for you!... It looks to me as if you're trying to drive home a nail with a screw-driver, and when you notice that it won't work, instead of looking for a hammer you're looking for a... better screw-driver!... :-) Use, MB-3 for the first heavy-duty cleaning and MB-5 after that.

Dear Barbara:
If your countertop looked dull and smeary from day one, then there'no cleaning or any miracle in a bottle that could help you out.
Go back to the supplier and rise hell!!
Ciao and good luck,
Maurizio Bertoli
