Hi, I have St Cecelia granite (?) in my kitchen and it is getting darker everywhere it is exposed to light. The sections under the cutting board, spice tray, and counter clutter are all the original color, all other areas have changed. The counter tops are just a little over a year old, they seem to be adequately sealed, and there is still a shine. I use a cleaner for stone (GranQuartz Stone Care Systems 113M) or damp cloth daily care. What is happening and can I lighten them back up or at least stop the process?

Santa Cecilia, which is Garnet Gneiss (a far cry from true geological granite), can be photosensitive.
