santa cecilia or lapidus

Maurizio: Due to the size of our kitchen we need just one foot mor than one slab of granite for the countertop and therefore a lot of waist, almost the all slab. We were suggested to purchase the prefabricated granite slab like santa cecilia or lapidus. Can you comment on the quality of these prefabricated countertops that are bullnosed and prefab in China. Thank You for your comment. Grazie... Ciao.

Dear Anthony:

If they're made right , I just love them!!

Of course, you're gonna have to find a good craftsman to cut them to fit, finish the edges where necessary and all that; but all in all, it's green light in my book. Prego!

Now remember, it's never too early to think about the proper maintenance of your stone. The issue of what you'll be doing day in and day out to your stone is far more important than its sealing (if and when possible and/or advisable) and it's all too often neglected. As you can tell by reading many of this site's postings, you're not likely to get good information about it from your dealer or installer. Don't become another statistic! By logging into the Helpful Hints section of our website at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/helpful-hints.htm , you will be able to get the short version of our maintenance guidelines at no charge.
