No, MB-11 will not work: it is a polishing powder for marble and travertine, not a honing powder.
Get a half-decent orbital sander and a few sheets of metal-grade sand-paper in different grits. Start with an 80 girt or so, and then go over it with 120 and then 240. Done! All scratches and etchings are gone! Of course you'll have to spend some time with each grit, so to produce a very uniform surface, but you will reali
