A respected local seller of stones has several slabs of Verde Peacock. The slabs are greatly discounted because they have fissures. I like the price (!) and do not find the look offensive. It looks like "crazing" on glass. Is this a real/good granite? Should I be concerned about the fissures?

If you think that you can live with the natural flawas that you see in the stone, Verde Peacock (Charnockite, not granite) is an exceelent stone as material for a kitchen countertop.

However, as stone is only a stone. If you accept an inferior grading slab on price consideration that's fine and dandy but if you shop for the fabricator that will turn that slab into a countertop on price... That would not be a wise thing to do!

The human factor (the fabricator) is the only factor that makes customers happy or unhappy. And good, reputable fabricator don't come cheap.
