Coated shower stall glass door

Can MB-3 be used to safely remove soap scum on a glass shower door? The door is new, plate glass with a protective coating from the manufacturer to help prevent hard water depostis and scum. I do not want to damage the coating.

Dear Ken:

" The door is new, plate glass with a protective coating from the manufacturer to help prevent hard water depostis and scum."

I really don't understand the question. If this wondrous coating is designed to prevent soap scum and mineral deposit accumulation, why are you concerned to find out if MB-3 is safe on it?... If the coating works, then you will never need to use MB-3; and if it doesn't work, why are you so concerned not to "damage" it??...
Sorry, but I really don't know if MB-3 is safe on your coating.
What I do know, is that the few miracolous coatings for glass and stainless-steel I looked into are nothing but a marketing scheme. But hey, maybe your coating is an exception...
Ciao and good luck,
