Are you familiar with the new standing pebble tiles? We want to install this in our vacation cabin bath/shower. The manufacturer suggests that a waterproof membrane is needed- as well as a impregnator applied twice but due to the closeness of the pebbles and their placement, it is not necessary to grout. Have you heard of successful applications of these river rock tiles without grout? It would seem to me that river stone would be ideal for a water setting and WOULDn't need a sealer. Thanks.

You're right: pebble stone tiles do not require any sealer and are indeed suitable for a wet environment. Heck, they've been under water their entire life! J
