sealing marble

I tried you lemon test on polished marble after a minute the polished look was gone. seems like it etched the polished surface previously I tried the water test and there was no effect. what would you suggest for a sealer??

Dear Frank:

Seems like it etched the polished surface

No, it does not seem like it etched the polished surface: it actually did it!!

What would you suggest for a sealer??

And why would you want to seal your polished marble?...

If you're thinking for a split second that an impregnator (a.k.a. sealer) could do the first think to even begin prevent acidic substances from etching marble, think again!

Nothing on planet Earth could ever accomplish that; unless of course you go back a century and a half or so and dust those old books of alchemy off… J

Why do you think polished marble does not belong in a kitchen? If there was a magic sealer that could eliminate its sensitivity to pH active substances it wouldn't be a no-no, would it now?...
