Tumbled Marble Tiles in Shower Floor

Our tumbled marble shower floor is 2 years old and never looked right. It has a cloudy, white film all over when dry. It looks good when wet. We sealed it with an enhancer/sealer several days after the installer laid the tiles. The enhancer didn't really change the color. What can we do?

Dear Janel:
If it looks right when wet, then a good-quality stone color-enhancer should give you that look permanently. If it doesn't... not all stone color-enhancer are created equal.
If you change brand, you will have to first deep-clean your stone with a paint stripper based on Methylene Chloride (available at any paint store), to remove every residue of the previous product. Follow all precautionary directions printed on the can of the product.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm? J

Ciao and good luck,
