Clean factory dirt off honed black marble

I am incredibly impressed with all the help this site has been! Thanks to you, I've found the answer to my first Q- a olor enhancer like MB-6 to keep my honed black marble tiles looking black! Thank you! The second Question: The honed black marble trim pieces have what looks like brown dirt on them. When wiped with a damp cloth (H20 only) they look great, but the "dirt" comes back after drying. Will a product like MB6 be the solution again or are they actually dirty--thus requiring a marble cleaner first? No install has ocurred yet. These are right out of the Home Depot Expo box. Thx-Julia

Dear Julia:

Why, thank you for your nice words! J

As for this alleged factory dirt, I highly doubt it that it could be it: stone tiles are processed with water from beginning to end and you couldn't think of any other product as clean as stone tile off the box! Trying to guess what it is would be just that: plain guessing, and you don't need that, do you?...

The good news is that if the “dirt” disappears when wet, then a good-quality stone color enhancer like MB-6 will give you the same effect permanently.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
