Uba Tuba

Hi Maurizio, We've just installed Uba Tuba and have not sealed them based on recommendations found in the Q&A. The stone was a big investment and we want it to last a long time and know that proper care and maintenance is the key. We need to buy one of your cleaning products, but which one? Also, should we use the impregnator first? Thank you for helping us sort through the information jungle. Nancy

Dear Nancy:
Most selections of Ubatuba won't take any sealer in, but a few batches maight. To find out, do this:
Spill some water in a couple of spots of your countertop, let it dwell for 10 minutes or so, wipe it dry and observe if the areas under which the water has been sitting have become (temporarily) any darker than the rest. If so, then you will apply a good-quality impregnating sealer. If not, don't bother. As for the routine care - which is vastly more important than the sealing - I recommend MB-5 and MB-13.
Easy enough for you?... :-)

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?   :-)

Ciao and good luck,
