Travertine floor tiles scratched

Hello, I recently purchased a new home with travertine tiles throughout the kitchen and bathrooms. The tiles have been sealed and appear to have scratches in them from my dog. The scratches only seem to be in the sealer itself, my question is if I remove the sealer will the tile itself be scratched by my dogs paws.

Dear Victor:
I'm a bit confused here; so please help me out.
The only sealers for stone I know of, are all impregnators. Which means that are strictly below-the-surface (of the stone) sealers. Which also means that none of the stuff is sitting on top of the stone to be scratched off.
So, unless someone applied some sort of wax or something on top of your tiles, the scratches are in the stone itself right now, not the sealer.
And yes, if they are big dogs their paws will scratch a stone as "soft" as travertine.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
