California Gold slate for outdoors

We are planning to install california gold slate tiles for our courtyard. Is california gold slate good for outdoors? If not what type of slate is good for outdoors?

Dear Shyam:

There are a lil over 800 known slates on the market today. You don't really expect me to be able to tell the suitability of each and every one of them, do you?!

So far I never heard of a multicolor slate that's good for outdoors, but, quite honestly, I don't know about this California Gold one. (Could it be the exception that confirms the rule?...) If you want, we could conduct some tests to find that out for you. It usually doesn't cost more than $500.00 and none of that money will go in the pockets of any of the members of marblecleaning.org. Talking about which…

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
