Tumbled Marble in shower stall

In a 4 X 4 installation what is the prefered grout line? Should the pits be grouted? I'm concernted that would take away from the looks. Would the color enhancer product be a good choice in this application?

Wertzer:

The grout line should be 1/8” to 3/16” with sanded grout.

As for the pits, I must assume that you're not talking about marble but travertine. If that's the case, because of sanitary considerations, they should be filled. Since the sanded grout could not do a good job at filling the holes, that tiles should be filled with caulking at least a couple of days before installation. If you want to preserve the look, you could use black or dark brown caulk.

About the color enhancer, it will only work if your tiles become barker when wet. In such case a good product like MB-6 will give you permanently that particular look (only the depth of color, not any sheen).

Now remember, it's never too early to think about the proper maintenance of your stone. The issue of what you'll be doing day in and day out to your stone is – as it should be intuitive – vastly more important than its sealing (if and when possible and/or advisable) and it's all too often neglected. As you can tell by reading many of this site's postings, you're not likely to get good information about routine care from your dealer or installer. Don't become another statistic!
