rainforest brown marble or granite?

I just bought rainforest brown for my kitchen floor. It was sold to me as granite, which is what I wanted. My husband says it's marble. Can you help settle this dispute? I have 12x12 squares. Thanks, Roberta

Dear Roberta:

You're both wrong, but you're… wronger! J

How could you possibly believe that's granite with all those deep veining?…

It is mostly traded as marble, but it is in fact a weird form of compact dolostone with calcite binders (the deep veining).
