Please help! I love the look of "Durango" travertine, honed & filled. I would be using it on the master vanity. How will it stand up to hairspray, water (that may or may not get wiped up)(probably not) maybe spilled coke or coffee, polish remover, soap, lotion, etc. How durable is it? How would I clean it? Water only? No Dow bathroom cleaner? I may use quartz instead. As not to have problems in the future. I would like to granite, but I cant find the look. Any suggestions? We are also planning to use travertine in the walk-in shower (honed & filled). Cleaning? Soap Scum? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Are you sure you didn't forget anything?!?!… J

I mean, with that kind of activity it sounds more like a railroad station floor than a vanity top!!

And then, you can't find “the look” within the over 2700 different “granites” that there are out there, but you can find it in a manmade material like engineered stone?!?!… Talk about comparing apple with margarine!! J

Unless you plan to use your vanity top like, well… a vanity top, I don't think that Durango – though a very good stone for the purpose – could ever make you happy.
