Darkening of limestone tiles

Hi, I had some light coloured limestone (marbella) installed and the guys that did it used grey adhesive, instead of white, the result is a darkening dicoloration of the stone. Can anything be done?

Dear Glyn:

It's too early to tell.

It could be just a temporary discoloration due to the moisture that impregnates the stone, or it could be a permanent discoloration from the thin set. If it will not go back to normal within 2 or 3 weeks, then you will have to start getting concerned.

In the meantime, don't have any impregnator applied to your tiles, if you want them to dry fast.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
