White film on shower floor

Hi Maurizio, I read a question posed by another individual regarding a white film she has noticed on the travertine floor in her master shower. I have the same problem and I too cannot get rid of the white film. It disappears when it is wet, and when it dries you can see it again. There are no problems with my grout and the shower is approximately 2 years old. What should I do? Regards, Shannon

Dear Shannon:

If you're positive that there are no problems with your grout lines and that there is no water under those tiles, then it could be mineral deposit and soap film that accumulated on your travertine tiles over the past couple of years. If that's the cas e, then an alkaline cleaner with chelates in its formula rated “for natural stone”, like MB-3 should do the trick for you.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
