Dear Jana:
You were jealous and you wanted to copy me, huh!... (I have Black Galaxy in my kitchen for over 11 years!

)
Scrape the worse of the caulking residue with a razor blade (don't worry, there's no way you can scratch that “thing”!) and then you can finish the job with acetone.
After that, it's “easy street for you baby!” Good-quality Black Galaxy is among the most maintenance-easy, virtually bullet-proof material that money can buy!
Just a good quality stone spray cleaner like MB-5 and a little bit of a good stone polish like MB-13 every now and then to “spruce it up” and keep fingerprints at bay, is all you'll ever need.
Enjoy!
