Black Galaxy

We just purchased a highly polished Black Galaxy Kitchen Countertop. It has not been cut yet. Do we need to get it polished to avoid future stains?

Dear Helen:

If Black Galaxy is not maliciously doctored it will never stain. (It will never stain if it maliciously doctored, either, but it will “stain”… But that's another story).

That said , I'm mighty confused here. You say:

We just purchased a highly polished Black Galaxy Kitchen Countertop

So, it is highly polished, right?

Do we need to get it polished to avoid future stains?

How could possibly polish that slab if it is already highly polished??... And who would be doing the polishing??... And what has to polishing got to do with avoiding stains??...

Could you please elaborate for me?

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http:// www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
