Can Baltic Brown be made shiny?

We had our Baltic Brown countertops installed a few years ago. Since Day One, our countertops have always looked dull. The installer told us that was the nature of Baltic Brown and there was nothing we could do, but after reading your site, I don't know whether to believe this. So, is there anything we could do to make our Baltic Brown countertops nice and shiny? Thanks so much!

Dear Sue:

What's shiny to certain people is not so shiny to certain others. To be certain, Baltic Brown is not a big shiner, but then again, is the situation actually below expectation, or are you standards a tad too high?

Keeping in mind than the factory finish can seldom be improved upon, If I were you, in order to make sure as to whether an improvement could be attained or not, I would consult with a proficient stone restoration contractor in your area. Only a physical inspection could lead to a precise diagnosis.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
