black granite countertop

i live in hardwater area and my faucet sink on top of couter leaked for awhile before i realized it was not backsplash and a few white rings are on the granite and i would like to know how to get rid of white rings. The granite was sealed about 2 yrs ago and the stain seems on top. I have only cleaned with water with very little parmolive dish detergent

Dear Sue:

Trust me: the “granite” was not sealed two years ago. To make certain, I'm sure that they applied a totally useless (under the circumstances) impregnator to it, but that doesn't mean that they sealed your stone: black “granite” can't be technically sealed due to its inherent high density.

That duly said for information sake, to remove the hard-water rings that you have around your faucets, scrape the worst off with a razor blade (no, it will not scratch your stone) and then finish the job with MB-3.

No comment about your water and dish-soap concoction.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
