Hello Maurizio We recently purchased and had fabricated two slabs of beautiful Volga Blue granite ( counter tops and a large island). We had the fabricator go with us to help pick out the stone from a number of slabs. The color and finish look gorgeous. But as I atare at them hour after hour I have noticed a number of very fine--what appears to be cracks or fissures running through different sections. They cannot be felt and only seen in the right light looking very closely. Is this a natural occurence ( I hope) and inherrent in this type of granite, or has the stone been stressed and or damaged in some way during the fabrication /handling? Thannks for your help Len

Yes, it is inherent to this type of anorthosite.

Now remember, it's never too early to think about the proper maintenance of your stone.
