dark water rings on certain granites |
Article Number: 1164 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Sat, Feb 9, 2008 at 12:00 AM |
Hi Maurizio, why is it that some granite counter tops get a dark stain when you leave a cold glass and some not. Does it have to do with the sealer? We have Gallo Antico installed and everytime you put something wet it gets stained (goes back to normal when completely dry). Thank you for yout response. Patricia
Dear Patricia:
It has to do with more than one factor.
Now remember, it's never too early to think about the proper maintenance of your stone.
The issue of what you'll be doing day in and day out to your stone is – as it should be intuitive – vastly more important than its sealing
(if and when possible and/or advisable) and it's all too often neglected. As you can tell by reading many of this site's postings, you're not likely to get good information about routine care from your dealer or installer. Don't become another statistic!
