Acid stain (rust remover) on black marble floor tile |
Article Number: 190 | Rating: Unrated | Last Updated: Thu, Jul 12, 2007 at 12:00 AM |
What is the best products and procedure to rmove the etching (a cloudy circle) on a (12 inch x 12 inch)polished black marble floor tils caused by oxalic acid rust remover.
Dear Harold:
If the etching is not too severe (dark to medium gray and smooth) you could try with a product like MB-11 (
http://www.mbstonecare.com). But if it is too severe (light-gray and almost whitish and a little rough), then you will need the services of a stone restoration contractor who will have to slightly grind (hone) your damage before polishing.
May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at:
http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?
:-)
Ciao and good luck,
Mauri
