Absolute black honed granite |

What is the best product for care and keeping of absolute black honed granite? I am beginning to see some "stains" on my countertop. Almost as if bleach had been spilled on it and quickly cleaned up.
Dear Su
Since the “stains” you're experiencing are of a lighter color than the rest of your countertop, I must assume that it was treat (and rightly so) with a color-enhancer that turned the original grayish color into black. Unfortunately not all color-enhancers are created equal: some of them are resistant to most common acidic substances, while some others are not. My conclusion is that the color-enhancer that was applied by your fabricator is not the possible best for that kind of use. My advice to you is to have it completely removed with a mild “bath” of water and phosphoric acid, and then have a better-suited product, like MB-6 applied to your stone. Needless to say, specialty cleaning products are in order more than ever.
