Travertine from Lowes and Home Depot

Maurizio, Thank you for taking the time to answer so many questions. I am remodeling of my bathroom, mud room, kitchen. I plan on using travertine in at least the bathroom, but plan on getting it from lowes or Home depot. How do I determine the grade of travertine or other stone? Thanks, Allan

You don't. It takes a true expert to determine that.

As a rule of thumb, going by my limited direct experience, the Big Box stores carry the lowest grading possible.
