Onyx

Will slabs of Onyx be ok to put in the shower and on the counter top in the bathroom? If so what maintenance will be required? Thank You, Wil (Tampa)

Dear Wil:

Yes. Eventually, especially in the shower enclosure, the stone will lose its shine and require restoration, but being in a slab form and all, it is not too difficult a job to do.

Just make sure that the stall is installed properly! That is vastly more important than the stone itself!

As for the routine care, By logging into the Helpful Hints section of our website at:   http://www.mbstone.com/HH_promo/helpful_hints.htm, you will be able to get the short version of our maintenance guidelines at no charge. The full version of it – a 7-page document considered by many as an industry benchmark – is available in pay-per-download format in our Educational Literature section at:   http://www.mbstone.com/literature/literature.htm.

And remember, every single penny of the cost of the literature will be used to support this site and its cause: your cause.
