granite countertop one square seems darker

Hello Mr. Maurizio, New home, new kitchen counter with square granite counter top. One square granite seems discolored in that it is darker then all the others. It has the appearance of being dark as if you just cleaned it with water or cleaning solution. The other slabs don't have this darker pigment look, however after you clean the others they resemble the one slab with the darker color then when dry the darker slab is the only one that doesn't look dry and still retains that wet look. Seller says that's a characteristic of granite to have minor imperfections. Is this a true statement? Thanks, Steve

Dear Steve:

Your stone merchant is correct. However, if the lighter squares match the color of the darker one when wet, you should be able to bring them up to par permanently with the application of MB-6 stone color enhancer. Just apply it on only one square at a time and then, immediately, rub, rub, rub, rub, with a clean rag or Bounty paper-towel, until the stone becomes darker and every residue of the product is removed from the surface. Do the next square, and so on.

After that, you will learn out to take proper care of your stone with MB-5!... :-)

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?   :-)

Ciao and good luck,
