Granite countertop stain

Q. I have a countertop stain from a salad dressing containing apple cider vinegar and vegetable oil. The container used to mix the dressing sat for several days and must have had residue on the bottom. I have Madura light gold kitchen countertops. I tried the MB-5 but was unsuccessful. Any help would be appreciated.

A. The oil has penetrated beneath the surface of the stone into the pores. You will need to first remove the stain with a poultice, then you will need to seal your countertops to protect them. Please download the Stone Care Guide which will give you instructions for both stain removal and sealing.
