Stains from planter left too long on travertine

Q. We left a planter for too long in the same place and now the travertine has red, rust stains the size of the planter. What can we use to get rid of the horrible mark. Don't tell me to put the planter back where it was... that is what my mom recommended!!!:(

A. How bout covering it with a rug...just kidding. You will have to use a poultice with a strong solution of Hydrogen Peroxide. You can pick this up at most beauty supply places. You can find instructions for creating and using a poultice in our Stone Care Guide.

Good luck. Let us know how it turns out or if the poultice doesn't do the trick.
