sealing slate

I have a breezeway that is slate tiles set in concrete. They are original from 1948. We live in the NorthEast were snow/rain is a concern. The room gets very dusty from what I think is the old concrete. I would like to seal they area, but not sure with what or where to start. I would like some type of a waterproof barrier but not sure if that is the way to go. thanks for the input! Erin

Dear Erin:
I may be a tad dense, but let me try to get this straight.
You have slate tiles installed in a breeseway since 1948 and, basically, never had a problem. Now, all of a sudden, on account of some dust accumulating in the room (for whatever reson - I don't believe for a split second that's the old concrete), you would like to apply a sealer to the stone...
Sorry, but no matter how hard I try, I just don't get it... :-)
If your stone has become kind of "pale" olver the years and you would likt it to look the way it looks when it's wet (darker in color without the shine), then you may want to consider MB-6, and MB-1 for routine maintenance. Other than that... :-)

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?   :-)

Ciao and good luck,
