how to clean several stone installations

Maurizio, I am overwhelmed by the conflicting information and lack of information regarding stone care. We just remodeled our bathroom and I am facing stone care for the first time. I will be glad to "subscribe" to your site or whatever to get straight answers from you.  I just want someone to give me the 3 easy steps to caring for all the stones in my new bathroom. Here's all you need to know, I think: 1. Travertine shower walls; bordered 12 inches at the top with a "limestone rockface" placed above the shower head. (There's a decorative border with travertine, glass insets, and "coniglia" molding seperating the flat travertine from the limestone above.) The shower floor is river rock. There are glass windows and a "floating" glass door in the shower as well. 2. The floors in the room are a tumbled edge travertine. 3. The countertops are black galaxy granite. 4. The sink is an onyx mosaic vessel. 5. The tub is a lucite airbath surrounded by travertine decking, and backsplash with a decorative border of glass pieces. 6. A gas fireplace is surrounded, floor to ceiling, by the limestone rockface like what is at the top of the shower stall. 7. The toilet is a basic porcelain toilet. I am hoping for the simplest possible way to maintain and care for all this. So far, I've pretty much used water, except on the tub and toilet, because I'm so afraid to put the wrong thing anywhere. However, the shower floor is starting to seem a little slimy from conditioner and soaps, despite my hot water rinses after each shower. We have been using our new bathroom for about 4 weeks. Thanks in advance for any and all advice you can give. Warmly, Lalla Pierce
