Appropriate stone care products

I will be installing Antique Nordic Black granite and Antique Rainforest Green marble for my kitchen countertops. While picking the cleaning product is easy, as there is only one choice - the rest is harder. I know I would like to use MB-6 on both stones. Do I need to use MB-4 before using MB-6? In addition, would using MB-13 add a bit of sheen to an Antique finish? It is marked as suitable for a polished finish, but I wondered if it would add anything to an Antique finish.

Dear Chris:

You do not want to apply an impregnating sealer prior the application of a color enhancer like MB-6. You will not need to apply it afterwards, either, for it's an impregnating sealer itself.

In addition, would using MB-13 add a bit of sheen to an Antique finish? It is marked as suitable for a polished finish, but I wondered if it would add anything to an Antique finish.

I don't know the answer to your question. On paper it should add some sheen, but we never tested the product on surfaces different from polished.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,
