Granite scratch repair made big blotch

Dear Maurizio: I just had a new granite countertop installed & noticed a fairly large scratch. The fabricator polished it to try to remove the scratch & now there is a 6" diameter blotch where the finish is different from the polishing. What can I do to make this less noticeable? Would an application of your stone polish in this area help bring up the shineg to match the rest? Thanks so much! Lyndee

Dear Lyndee:

It looks like “Michelangelo” struck again!

Would an application of your stone polish in this area help bring up the shineg to match the rest?

Not one bit.

What can I do to make this less noticeable?

Hire a true stone professional instead of your fabricator and then charge your fabricator for the cost you will incur to have your countertop polished the way it should.

May I ask you now to please read and e-sign our Statement of Purpose at: http://www.marblecleaning.org/purpose.htm?

Ciao and good luck,

Maurizio Bertoli
